# TTYper terms of service Status: Draft, pending owner and legal approval. Not in force. This is a placeholder for terms the owner and a lawyer still have to write and approve. Nothing here binds anyone yet. Text in square brackets is an open decision. ## Read this first - **Telnet is not encrypted.** Treat anything you type or see over Telnet as public. Telnet is anonymous guest practice only, with no accounts and no ranked results. Use SSH for accounts. - **Ranked results and ratings need an account on SSH.** Ranked results can be rejected or removed, and access to ranked play can be restricted, under the [acceptable-use draft](acceptable-use.md). ## The service TTYper is a typing trainer you reach over SSH or Telnet. [Operator name: owner to supply.] The service is provided as is, may change, and may be unavailable. It makes no uptime promise and is not built to guarantee availability. ## Accounts - You sign in by an emailed code or a linked SSH key. Keep your keys and email access secure; you answer for activity on your account. - One person, one account. Sharing an account can lead to restriction. - [Minimum age: owner and legal to decide.] ## Your content Text you paste or save stays yours. You give the service only the permission it needs to run your session and, if you save it, to store it (sealed) for you. Custom text is never used to train a shared model, populate public content or appear on leaderboards. ## Licences Practice content comes with its own licences, listed in the [content attribution index](../content-provenance/ATTRIBUTION.md). Software notices are in [NOTICES.md](../open-source/NOTICES.md). ## Ending use You can delete your account (see the [privacy draft](privacy.md)). The service can suspend or remove accounts that break the acceptable-use rules. ## Liability, governing law, disputes [Owner and legal to write. Not drafted here.] ## Contact [Contact address: owner to supply.]
